My Model
Kerry O'Sullivan is my model for this shoot and I am so excited to shoot with her. She has previously modeled for people such as Vivienne Westwood, The Face, i-D, Dazed & Confused, Boss London, Tony & Guy, Tigi, the list goes on...
Here are some of her old modelling pictures from when she was modelling for Boss London and Tony & Guy.

Test Shoot & Editing Experiments
For my test shoot I was mostly concentrating on subject compostion and styling. I also wanted to experiment with editing as originally my project was inspired by Helmut Newton so I really wanted the photography style to be black and white but as I have been experimenting with other ways of editing I think I am preferring the vintage style. I had created this by just adding various layers of colour of the image which gives it that aged kind of effect.

Mock Interview
So I have had my mock interview with Jo today for Grazia magazine and it went really well...I got offered the pretend job! Yey! All those nerves for nothing, she asked me why I wanted to work for the magazine, who are the online competitors as well as other publication competitors. She also gave me a made up challenge as to how I would source clothing for a photo shoot themed around trench coats. I pointed out how Grazia uses both high street and high fashion so I obviously suggested making a start with BURBERRY and then for the High Street possibly heading to TOPSHOP as they are always on trend. I learned that actually it isn't that nerve racking talking about subjects that I know about and actually have an interest in.

HUNGER
So today I came across and purchased the first issue of HUNGER magazine, RANKIN's new project! I actually picked up and purchased the magazine without even turning a page of the inside and didn't actually see that the editor-in-chief was RANKIN before sitting down in front of my computer just now and opening the first pages. Within an instant of looking at the magazine rack in WHSmith I knew what I would be going home with. Initially, I had gone in there looking for V magazine as nowhere in little tiny Epsom seems to have it...and neither did WHSmith, but from my loss, I gained this new and exciting delight. With a catchphrase of 'FOR THE CULTURALLY AND VISUALLY HUNGRY' it seems that this Launch Issue is the first of many more to come.

Test Shoot 2.
Here are some of the images from our 2nd test shoot. In this test shoot most of the styling has been incorporated and where you see a nude bra, it will actually be topless. Backgrounds have also been experimented with in some of the images but because of the lack of pairs of hands, we struggled to have backdrops in all of them. BUT...I do love how the black backdrop makes it look like it isn't underwater so therefore the ripples make the images very surreal. Enjoy...
